Moody Style: Cowl Neck Dress

I wore this cute bodycon dress last month during my last trip to Savannah, GA.  The weather was exceptionally warm when I took these, so I didn’t dare add any layers for fear that I would overheat. I’m pretty sure that the temperature was in the high 90s and really humid.  Anyway, some of you may remember that I bought this dress during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale and I’m super happy I did. This cowl neck dress is just the perfect dress to throw on when I want to feel a little flirty and sexy.  It will also transition into the fall season with ease.  I completed this look with my favorite chic lace-up heels and my trusty leopard clutch.  And once the weather cools down, I plan to add some booties like this pair or this pair for a complete fall look along with this faux leather jacket or a long cardigan. I can't wait for the fall weather to finally make it down here to Florida!

Do any of you have a favorite dress that can tranistion from summer to fall?  Let me know in the comments! Happy Friday Eve friends and thanks for stopping by!

In the Mood – J.Crew + New Balance Collection

I’m sure that many of you already heard about the sporty J.Crew + New Balance collaboration that came out last week.  I’m already obsessed with this collection and have already placed an order on a couple of things (like this one and this one).  I mean if having workout clothes that’s full of navy and white polka dots, classic stripes and unique colors can’t motivate you to get in the gym, then I don’t know what will.  Check out some of my favorite pieces below and explore the full collection here.

Moody Style: Corn Maze Ready

During this time of year, I always reflect back on my childhood growing up in New Jersey.  Fall has always been my favorite season mostly because of the cooler, crisp weather, the changing of the leaves, apple picking, hay rides, drinking hot apple cider, eating apple cider donuts and going to an actual pumpkin patch. And although the weather is a lot warmer than I would like down here in Florida, it's still my favorite season.  I just have to find local southern fall activities that are just as fun as the ones I did when I was younger.  Yesterday, my friends and I went to a fall festival at the Amazing Grace Crop Maze.  If you’re looking for a family fun festival, then look no further. There you’ll find a pumpkin patch with pumpkins of all sizes, a corn maze, wagon rides, farm animals, a jump pad and so much more. Since I don’t have any plans to head up North anytime soon, this fall festival completely fit the bill.

On a fashionable note – I wore this Red Gingham Bell Sleeve Ruffle Hem Blouse for a fall country look since the festival was on a farm. I got this top from SheIn.com a few weeks ago and it’s currently on sale for only $14.  I’m obsessed with the bell sleeves, the peplum hem and you know I love the red and white gingham pattern.  This top comes in one-size and it has no stretch.  Just as a size reference I normally wear a 4 or 6 in my tops and this top fits me perfectly.

Thanks for stopping by friends and I hope that you all have a great week!

Right now is the best time to stock up on some wardrobe staples and even get a head start on your Christmas shopping especially on those higher priced items! So far I’ve only bought this Turtleneck Sweater Dress and this Lace Up Sweater.  But I still have my eye on a few items like the Clare V. leopard clutch,  this pretty lace top, the best 2017 planner and this Rebecca Minkoff satchel.  Who knows, I may still do some more shopping before the sale ends.  I guess I’ll see what’s leftover tomorrow night since things are selling out FAST.

Mood Board – Living Room Inspiration

Sorry I’ve been a little MIA lately, between work, Hurricane Matthew and a family wedding I’ve been extremely busy this month so far.  Anyways, do you all have a Pinterest account?  I’ve been obsessed with the site lately and I’m constantly pinning some amazing home decor finds, fashion inspiration and healthy recipes.  If you haven’t had a chance to check out my Moody Girl In Style Pinterest page yet, please consider checking it.  I’m pretty sure you’ll find a few things that you’ll want to pin.

Now on to this fun post.  I’m currently looking to buy a new place and I’ve been obsessed with surfing the internet for home decor inspiration especially with my living room.  My living room furniture right now is so old and it's just not my style.  My living room set was just something I purchased when I got out of school for the right price at the right time.  If I had it my way I would have gotten rid of it a long time ago.  Since I dislike my furniture so much, I’m determined to move into my new home with new furniture and a fresh, timeless style. So far, I’ve decided that the color palette of my living room will be cream, gold, blue, gray and espresso brown.  It’s a pretty neutral color combination, so I can add in another pop of color if I get bored.

I’m most looking forward to updating my hand-me-down tan couch to this one from Overstock.com or this one from Pottery Barn.  I haven't fully decided yet on which couch I'll get.  I’ll probably continue to search online for the right one, but I know for sure that it will be a gray couch.  I also really love the idea of this coffee table from World Market and I think this plush geometric rug will add an eye-catching element to the room instead my drab tan carpet.  I’m also obsessed with this chair from Overstock.com, - the blue color is just the perfect fit.

Well, check out my favorite pieces below for my new potential living room.  What do you guys think about my picks? Let me know if you have any other furniture suggestions for this room or if you have any favorites from the post. I'm also thinking about doing more of these home decor boards, so let me know if this is something that you would like to see more of on the blog.
