Moody Mondays: If Food Could Talk

I came across some of David Olenick creative artwork the other day and I wanted to share some of it with all of you. David illustrates what would food say to us, if they could talk. He really knows how to play on all of our food-related anxieties.  If you have ever eaten ice cream straight from the carton or felt justified for eating poorly after eating too many slices of pizza, then Davids’ artwork will resonate with you.  My favorite? "Take Me. Take Me Now." This one pretty much describes my love affair with chocolate. It gets me every time.

Check out David’s tumbler (here) for more information about him and his work.  If you’re interested in purchasing some of David’s prints, mugs, stationary and much more, then shop (here).  Which one is your favorite?

Moody Mondays: Updated Blog Design

By now most of you have noticed that I updated my blog a couple of weeks ago.  I kept forgetting to write a post about how excited I am about the new design and layout!  I wanted a new, updated and overall clean look and I got that and more.  I reached out to Aubrey Kinch of Aubrey Kinch Designs several weeks ago and she responded right away.  Aubrey did an amazing job creating the look that I envisioned.  If you’re thinking about updating your blog or if you need a social media kit or even need help with brand identity, then Aubrey is your girl.  Aubrey is talented, easy to work with and very patient (believe me I bugged her enough throughout the process).  Thank you Aubrey! Please check out her portfolio (here) - you won't be disappointed.

I didn't get a screenshot of my previous layout, but here is a picture of my previous header:

And here is the new design:

What do you guys think about the new updates? Let me know in the comments.

Moody Style: Orange Crush

Although I haven’t seen an episode, I agree with the title that orange is the new black.  This fiery hue was spotted all over the runway for spring 2014 and it’s a perfect to transition into the summer.  I’m not sure when my orange crush started, but I’ve always loved this lively color. It’s vibrant, energetic and flattering on everyone.  So when this dress went on sale, I made sure I grabbed it the first chance that I got.  It’s been one of my go to dresses this summer whether it’s for work, a nice dinner or church.  I love that the scallop detailing along the neckline adds a little character to this dress.  Do any of you have an orange crush? What’s your favorite piece of orange clothing that you have in your closet or would like to have in your closet?  Let me know in the comments.
