Moody Style: Birthday Weekend

I just want to start off by apologizing for my absence over the past week.  I’ve been traveling for work like a mad woman lately and I don’t know if I’m coming or going these days.  I’m pretty sure I’m back on track, so bare with me.  I feel like I keep saying this over and over.  Hopefully, I’ll get it together.  Well, I just had another birthday on Monday and I had a great birthday celebration.  My birthday kicked off with a quick weekend trip to Miami, FL with my sister, C.  We went to a Miami Heat basketball game, hanging out in South Beach, shopping and of course eating some amazing food.  Speaking of food, have any of you been to Seasons 52 before?  I went there for the first time this weekend and I loved it.  One thing that I loved about this restaurant is that everything on the menu is less than 475 calories.  I know…I was surprised too.  I have to say everything that I tried was delicious.  If you have a Seasons 52 in your neighborhood and you haven’t tried it yet, then add this restaurant to your to –do list.  I’ll let you know how my actual birthday turned out in another post.  Do you have any birthday traditions that you always do every year? Moody Style: A Birthday Surprise

I celebrated my birthday last Friday night at a dinner with my family and friends. My actual birthday was on Saturday, February 11^th.  My mom, step-dad and one of my sisters came into town for the dinner along with one of my really good friends from Chicago.  I also had a handful of my friends from high school and a few friends from work come out to the dinner.  We all had a fabulous time.  We went to one of my favorite local Thai restaurants again. If you’ve followed along on my blog over the past year, you may know that I went to a Thai restaurant for my birthday last year.  I’m so not original.  I know the family that owns the restaurant, so it’s easy to work with them.  As an added birthday dinner, my sister and I were able to get free passes to attend a small concert featuring Sean Paul.  I never had a chance to see him perform before, so it was a nice surprise. I took so many pictures and video of the concert and I lost my voice a little from singing so loudly.  I had a pretty awesome birthday.

My Birthday Suit

I celebrated my birthday in style last Friday (Feb. 11^th) with amazing family and friends.  We had dinner at one of my favorite local Thai restaurant and ordered a ton of food.  My personal favorite menu item was the green curry chicken…it was delicious.  Anyways, I wanted to share my outfit that I put together for my birthday.   I apologize in advance because the picture quality is not great.  I definitely plan on purchasing a SLR camera real soon.  I started to look at some Canon and Nikon cameras a few months ago, but I still need to do some more research.  I would be happy to hear any advice you have on this subject.  I’ll let you all know what I decide to get very soon.
