Moody Style: Work Style

Hi everyone…I hope that you all are having a great week.  I don’t have much to say right now, I just took a quick break from work tonight to post this.  I wore one of my favorite skirts to work today and I paired it with a funky and stylish blazer from Coach.  So far everyday this week I’ve been wearing my traditional suits to the office, but today I wanted a little something different.  I love this accordion skirt, but I wish I paid a little more attention to the weather this morning.  As soon as I walked out of my building today, the wind picked up more than normal.  It was so windy that I almost had a couple of Marilyn Monroe moments without the NYC subway vents.  I walked to lunch and to my car literally tugging my skirt down just to keep it from flying up.  And of course this was the day that I didn’t wear a slip underneath.  Has this ever happened to you?  Let me know.

Moody Style: Christmas Spirit

I’m officially on vacation until January 3^rd 2012 and I’m so excited.  I can’t wait to go to my mom’s house tomorrow to be with the rest of my family.  There’s going to be lots of eating, drinking and laughing.  And hopefully I’ll be taking lots of pictures (hint, hint). Now that I’m finished running around to crowded stores buying my last minute presents, I’m finally feeling the Christmas spirit. Crowded stores, rude people and long lines really put a damper on the holiday experience.  I was super stressed the past few days because of work and trying to get everything done before I left town.  Now I can chill out, relax and enjoy the holidays!  Anyways, I just wanted to take a break from packing, cleaning and wrapping presents to post a quick pic of an outfit from earlier this week. I’m not sure I needed the belt, but I wore it anyways. Let me know what you think.

Moody Style: Sangria

Hi everyone…I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend.  I had a fabulous full weekend, but I didn’t have too much time to rest.  Saturday morning I went to a graduation and a reception for my beautiful cousin, followed by an impromptu get together with really good friends and a bottle of sangria.  Then on Sunday, I went to church, then baked a batch of peanut butter cookies for a cookie swap and then went to a work holiday party later in the evening.  There was some good eats and lots more sangria drinking.   In between all of these events, I wrote up holiday cards and continued some of my Christmas shopping.  I’m still amazed how slow this process is going for me this year.  I’m usually all finished and everything would be wrapped and ready to go by now.  I still have 3 more presents to buy and I haven’t wrapped a single present yet.  I’m feeling the stress right about now, but the several glasses of sangria this weekend really helped me cope.  What about all of you?  Have you finished all of your shopping?  Are you feeling stressed this holiday season?
