Shopping Mood - For the Beauty Queen

Are you all ready for Christmas? I’m definitely not! It’s hard to believe that the holiday season is already here again! I mean we haven’t even celebrated Thanksgiving yet.  It seems like most retail stores have jumped right over Thanksgiving since they’ve been decked out for Christmas since Nov. 1st.  So naturally I’ve already started thinking about all of the shopping that I still need to do.  And if you’re like me and you always seem to find yourself doing some last minute shopping, then it’s never too early to start planning. The sooner that you start planning ahead, the sooner you’ll eliminate the unwanted stress that accompanies the season’s shopping and gift-giving frenzy.  And you may find that you’ll find better deals and stay within your budget.  This year I’m really going to try hard to take my own advice with planning ahead.  Since we only have 42 days until Christmas, I’ll be posting several holiday gift guides to help you take the guesswork out of shopping for everyone on your list. Be sure to come back here for a new gift guide each week until Christmas and let me know what you think. Also, if you have any additional gift suggestions, please leave them in the comments below.  I would love to hear from you.

The first gift guide that I’m excited to share with you all includes beauty items that I would love to buy for myself.  From small makeup palettes and nail polish sets to perfume and brush sets, you’ll be sure to find something for the beauty obsessed lady on your list. I made sure to find gifts at several different price points and the best part is that everything is under $75.00.  Here are some of my top beauty picks this holiday season.

HOLIDAY SHOPPING TIP
Set a maximum spending limit for your Christmas shopping: Before you start thinking about what gifts to buy for your loved ones or who’s names to put on your list – it's important to calculate how much money you can afford to spend.  It will save you from having any surprises with your finances in the future.

Moody Picks – Window Treatment

Fashionistas love a good pattern, especially one that is bold and graphic like the windowpane print.  This pattern is also referred to as the grid print or the checkered print.  But make no mistake, whatever you call this trendy print, it’s a pattern that’s here to stay.  This simple print is a perfect twist on stripes and a checkered plaid. Have you tried this trend yet? If not, then I recommend that you treat this print like any other stripe pattern. You can mix large and small windowpane prints together, pair it with a floral print or even wear the print from head-to-toe for a really bold look. Right now, you can find this unique and edgy print in most retail stores, especially in a classic black and white combination. Check out some of my picks below and let me know what you think.
