Moody Style: Sparkles and Stripes

I love the look of pattern mixing especially on some of my favorite bloggers like Lisa, Lily, and Tara.  I’ve been able to dabble in mixing pattern here and there, but not nearly as much as I would like.  Unfortunately, I don’t have a chance to experiment at work because I usually wear lots of suits.   So, I usually let loose with my outfits on my days off from work and on the weekends, like I did here with today’s OOTD.  I’ve seen this polka-dot sequin top just about everywhere and I had to grab it when it went on sale (I know, I’m still shopping, but that’s a whole other topic for another day). Have any of you tried to pair polka dots with stripes? Let me know in the comments.

Moody Style: Paint Me Plaid

Are you guys mad for plaid like I am? I’ve wanted to grab a plaid shirt for a little some time now, but I just never bit the bullet until recently. I’m sure you’re wondering why…right? Well, I wanted to make sure that I found the right print and colors for me.  And thank goodness I finally did.  This Boy Shirt in Red Plaid from J.Crew immediately caught my eye a few months ago – especially since it was the only one in the store and luckily in my size.  Don’t you love it when that happens? I love the look of this shirt and I love how versatile it is too.  I was a little worried about wearing this look to work, but it surprising turned out great. What do you guys think?  Eventually, I plan to grab at least one more plaid shirt to make sure that I fulfill my little obsession for plaid.  Do any of you have any plaid items?  What’s your favorite piece? Let me know in the comments.

In the Mood: Legacy Crocodile Tote

I recently saw this beauty on Coach’s website and I fell in love.  The craftsmanship of the Coach Legacy Crocodile Tote is perfection and the style is a timeless classic.  The only thing that I don’t like about this amazing piece is the price.  For $10,000, I’ll continue to admire this little beauty from a far.  What do you guys think about this tote? Let me know in the comments.
