Moody Picks: New Year’s Eve Sparkle

Do you guys have any plans for New Year's Eve? At this point it looks like I’m going to have a low key celebration with my family. My family talked about going to St. Augustine with the kids for dinner and then we could hang out downtown and bring in the new year. So, we’ll see if that plan works out.  Anyways, I’ve put together several pieces to celebrate the new year with lots of sequins and sparkle! Hope you have a happy New Year sweet friends!

Moody Picks: New Year’s Eve Sparkle

Are you all geared up and ready for New Year's Eve? For some people, figuring out where to welcome in the new year can be a headache and to others deciding how to spend the last few hours of 2015 can be daunting. However, I think most fashionista's would agree with me that trying to figure out what to wear during the final moments of the year is a bigger ordeal.

I just made some impromptu plans to go out with a couple of friends for New Year’s Eve and now I’m freaking out a little because I have no idea what I’m going to wear.  As soon as I purchased my ticket for the party, I told myself that I needed to find something to wear that has lot of sparkles!  So I immediately started looking online for some ideas and inspiration.  Well, if you’re also in the same boat, then don’t worry because I’ve got you covered.  I’ve pulled together some cute dresses and pieces that you can wear to kiss 2015 goodbye. Oh and everything that I found is under $100 - I hope this helps!  Happy New Year sweet friends!

New Year’s Eve and Auld Lang Syne

Hiya ladies! We are only less than an hour away from 2011.  I hope that you ladies are having a safe and joyous New Year’s Eve.  I’m having a very low key celebration at home with my boyfriend.

Earlier tonight, I looked up the song, Auld Lang Syne, because I realized I didn’t know all of the words.   Auld Lang Syne was written by Robert Burns in 1741 and is sung at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Day.  However, despite the song’s popularity, it has been described as the song that nobody knows.  Auld Lang Syne literally means “old long ago” or simply, “the good old days."  So, I thought I should add the lyrics to the original Scottish version just for fun and for anyone else out there that didn’t know all of the words.  Enjoy!

Auld Lang Syne by Robert Burns

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and days of auld lang syne?

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll take a cup o' kindness yet
For auld lang syne

We twa hae run aboot the braes
And pou'd the gowans fine;
we've wander'd mony a weary foot
Sin' auld lang syne

We two hae paidled i' the burn,
Frae mornin' sun till dine;
But seas between us braid hae roar'd
Sin' auld lang syne

And here's a hand, my trusty friend,
And gie's a hand o' thine;
We'll take a cup o' kindness yet
For auld lang syne

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and days of auld lang syne?

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll take a cup o' kindness yet
For auld lang syne

I hope that everyone has a Happy, Safe & Prosperous New Year!
