Moody Style: Amor, Amour, My Loves

February is my favorite month of the year mainly because it’s my birthday month.  It’s also the birthday month for one of my sisters, two of my best friends and some pretty amazing 3-year old twins.  And of course we can't forget about Valentines Day.  I try not to get too caught up with all of the gifts, flowers and candy that some people think you need to have on the holiday.  Now don’t get me wrong, I’m a sucker for anything pink, red, shiny, sparkly and sweet. And I’ll be happy with any of the suggested Hallmark gifts anytime during the year.  I just like to focus my attention on spending my time with that special someone in my life.  Do you guys love this month as much as I do? What’s your favorite month of the year? Let me know in the comments. Anyways, here's a quick pic of my recent outfit.

Moody Style: Peter Pan

It really felt like fall here in Florida on Monday and today it finally feels like winter.  I’ll post what I’m wearing today later on this week.  I’m not sure about you all, but this season I've been living in my skinnies more than usual.  And now I’m on the hunt for more fall colors like mustard, forest green and burgundy.  I’ve also been loving peter pan collars more than ever lately.  So, it’s no surprise that I fell in love with this beautiful embellished Peter Pan collar sweater from J.Crew Factory.  It’s a perfect collar to make a statement.  Anyways, here's my outfit of the day from Monday.  Do any of you have any trends that you have been wearing more than normal? Let me know in the comments.

Moody Style: A Birthday Surprise

I celebrated my birthday last Friday night at a dinner with my family and friends. My actual birthday was on Saturday, February 11th.  My mom, step-dad and one of my sisters came into town for the dinner along with one of my really good friends from Chicago.  I also had a handful of my friends from high school and a few friends from work come out to the dinner.  We all had a fabulous time.  We went to one of my favorite local Thai restaurants again. If you’ve followed along on my blog over the past year, you may know that I went to a Thai restaurant for my birthday last year.  I’m so not original.  I know the family that owns the restaurant, so it’s easy to work with them.  As an added birthday dinner, my sister and I were able to get free passes to attend a small concert featuring Sean Paul.  I never had a chance to see him perform before, so it was a nice surprise. I took so many pictures and video of the concert and I lost my voice a little from singing so loudly.  I had a pretty awesome birthday.
