In The Mood - J.Crew Fall 2017 Collection

Camouflage teamed up with tulle, leopard prints, bold stripes, funky plaids and a little hint of lace. These were some of the highlights of the J. Crew Fall 2017 Collection during New York Fashion Week. I was too busy celebrating my birthday during Sunday’s showtime, but I made sure to look up every picture I could find online as soon as I got home.

And my goodness - this show did not disappoint. I love, love, love everything I saw, especially the 3 looks I grouped together here.  Although the pictures of all of the looks are stunning, I’m sure all of the pieces were 10 times better in person. I can’t wait for the fall season to come back around again so I can touch and feel everything. Have you had a chance to see the new fall/winter collection yet? If you haven’t, then you can check out all of the women's pieces below.  I’m sure that you’ll find a few pieces that will have you swooning. Let me know what you think and tell me which ones are your favorites.

Happy Tuesday friends and Happy Valentine's Day!!!

In The Mood – J.Crew New Arrivals (February 2017)

If you have been following my blog for a while, then you know that I’m obsessed with everything J.Crew. I got my Style Guide in the mail the other day and immediately started bookmarking my favorites. And since I have to see everything in person before I buy it, I popped into my local store last night to check out all of the new arrivals.

Here are a few things that really caught my eye so far. I’m loving the Chambray Regent Blazer with Ruffle Trim. I mean you can’t go wrong with ruffles these days and the chambray is just the perfect transition into spring. I’m also loving the pastel colors of the floral print in the Ornate Floral Ruffle Trim Top in Silk and the Tie-Waist Skirt in Ornate Floral. And I really think that the Buckle Dress in Super 120s Wool is the perfect look for the workplace. Have you guys checked out the new arrival yet? Which items are you most likely to buy? My favorites items from J.Crew are pictured below and I’m sure they will  put you all in a good mood! Check them out and let me know what you’re loving this month.

I'm loving this Festive Plaid Button-Up Shirt from J.Crew right now.  The colors in this plaid print is perfect for the holidays and the tuxedo bib just adds a little something special.  I decided to add the Crystal Waterfall Necklace to this look after seeing it on a J.Crew associate this past weekend.  I have a feeling that I'll be wearing this necklace a lot over the next few months.  The neutral colors in this statement necklace really compliments just about everything.  I can't wait to wear it!

Absolutely crazy about these new shoes from @dswshoelovers.  The heel is the perfect height and they fit like a dream.  If you're in need of a new party shoe, then you gotta check these out.  They come in 4 additional colors and they're under $70.  I definitely plan on wearing these a lot especially to a few upcoming holiday parties.

In the Mood – J.Crew Fitting Room Reviews

J.Crew is offering 40% off your purchase when you use the code: HOLIDAY.  The sale starts today and runs until Nov. 27th just in time for Thanksgiving weekend.  Well I wanted to share with you a few of my fitting room reviews on some of the new arrivals at J.Crew.  If you haven’t checked them out yet, then head over to the new arrivals or check out some of my favorites here.  Anyways, here are a few of my fitting room review of some of my favorite new arrivals.  Let me know what you think.

I’m loving this Bow-shoulder Top in Festive Plaid so much that it had to come home with me.  I missed out on the bow-shoulder top in stripe and gingham from the summer, so I wasn’t going to miss out again.  I’m wearing a size 4 here and I would say that this top runs true to size.  The top is a little loose with a slight flow at the hemline.  I tried on a size 2 just to see the different and it was just a little too snug under my armpits.  The material is lightweight, but crisp like a button down and you already know that this bow on the shoulder is the main star.  It's just perfect.

I’m obsessed with the print on this Flounce Silk Dress in Wolfstooth.  When I saw this dress online and then in the store, I had to try it on immediately.  It’s a relaxed fit dress with a flouncy ruffle hem which I love.  And I loved the way the dress fit, but I wasn’t in love with it.  It just hung on me due to the straight silhouette.  I would have liked for it to be a little more fitted.

The Silk Twill Pant in Wolfstooth is a relaxed fit pant and it is so comfortable.  This pant can easily be dressed up with some heels or down with some flats or even sneakers for a sporty look. Like the dress, I’m obsessed with the wolfstooth print and I love the silk material too.  I paired this pant with the New Perfect Shirt in Cotton Poplin like the model online.  My store didn’t have my size when I went to try them on, so I'm wearing a size 8 and they were very baggy.  I tried them on in a size 6 last week and they were a perfect fit, I just didn't pull the trigger then.  Luckily I was able to order them before they sold out.  I'm really hoping that these pants will be restocked so all of you can grab a pair.

This cute outfit that is perfect mix of plaid and lace.  I just bought this Festive Plaid Button-up Shirt and Lace Pants on Sunday and I plan on wearing them for Thanksgiving Dinner.  And don’t worry, these pants have an elastic waist so they are just right for all of the food that I plan on eating.  These pants remind me of the Reese pants from last year, but not as baggy.  They fit me perfectly and I didn’t find that they run large as others have expressed online. I’m wearing a size 6 here.  The lace pants are dressy enough to wear to holiday parties and if you pair it with the matching Lace Peplum Top it would be perfect for a more formal event.
