Mood Boost – #TryDry

Happy Friday Eve Luvs! I just wanted to share a new product to you all that I’ve been trying out for the past month and a half.  I’m not sure if any of you tried or heard of Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant yet, but it truly is my new favorite deodorant.

Like most of you, I’ve used stick deodorants for as long as I can remember.  And finding the right one for me has always been a problem mostly because I sweat a lot.  And I don’t mean just a little sweat here and there, I mean I really s-w-e-a-t.  Between living in Florida and working out excessively, I’m constantly tying to keep my armpits dry.  I’ve never been a big fan of roll on deodorants because they take forever to dry and other deodorant sprays that I’ve tried in the past didn’t have a lasting effect.  Well, I’m happy to report that Dove Dry Spray definitely doesn’t have any of those problems.  This deodorant dries quickly and it dries clear without leaving any residue on your clothing.  And the fragrances for both of my samples are pretty amazing without being overpowering.

Although I did not test out the full 48 hr protection, I am really impressed with the protection that I’ve had during the day.  Now as I mentioned earlier, I’m a heavy sweater and I workout about 5 to 6 times a week.  I didn’t expect for this deodorant to keep me dry during my workout because I don’t think there is any product out there that could do that because I really sweat that much.  However I was pleasantly surprised to still smell the deodorant fragrance after my workout as opposed to my own body odor. That’s a huge win in my book.  I’m sure for the average person that doesn’t sweat like me, this deodorant would do wonders for them.

Overall, I would highly recommend that you try out Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant. I like it so much that it’s already part of my daily routine - I keep one bottle at home and the other in my gym bag (just in case I need a little extra protection). If you want to experience Dove Dry Spray for yourself, then head over here to get a coupon for $1.00 off your next purchase.

Thank you Dove for sponsoring this post and allowing me to test out Dove Dry Spray! The opinions I shared about this deodorant are my own.

Shopping Mood - For the Beauty Queen

Are you all ready for Christmas? I’m definitely not! It’s hard to believe that the holiday season is already here again! I mean we haven’t even celebrated Thanksgiving yet.  It seems like most retail stores have jumped right over Thanksgiving since they’ve been decked out for Christmas since Nov. 1st.  So naturally I’ve already started thinking about all of the shopping that I still need to do.  And if you’re like me and you always seem to find yourself doing some last minute shopping, then it’s never too early to start planning. The sooner that you start planning ahead, the sooner you’ll eliminate the unwanted stress that accompanies the season’s shopping and gift-giving frenzy.  And you may find that you’ll find better deals and stay within your budget.  This year I’m really going to try hard to take my own advice with planning ahead.  Since we only have 42 days until Christmas, I’ll be posting several holiday gift guides to help you take the guesswork out of shopping for everyone on your list. Be sure to come back here for a new gift guide each week until Christmas and let me know what you think. Also, if you have any additional gift suggestions, please leave them in the comments below.  I would love to hear from you.

The first gift guide that I’m excited to share with you all includes beauty items that I would love to buy for myself.  From small makeup palettes and nail polish sets to perfume and brush sets, you’ll be sure to find something for the beauty obsessed lady on your list. I made sure to find gifts at several different price points and the best part is that everything is under $75.00.  Here are some of my top beauty picks this holiday season.

HOLIDAY SHOPPING TIP
Set a maximum spending limit for your Christmas shopping: Before you start thinking about what gifts to buy for your loved ones or who’s names to put on your list – it's important to calculate how much money you can afford to spend.  It will save you from having any surprises with your finances in the future.

In The Mood: Warby Parker’s Newest Collection

Beach vacations, flowers in bloom and lots of sunshine will be here before you know it with the first day of spring quickly approaching.  And the best way to welcome in the rays is with a handful of sunglasses in new silhouettes and colors.

Warby Parker is launching their newest sunglass collection today called The Daydream Collection.  And I’ve picked out a couple styles that I’m loving right now and I think you will too. The new collection includes 2 new frame shapes in 2 different colors each: Jackson (a wider but similar take on the ever-likeable Winston) and Abel (a little angular, a little round, a lot of fun). They’ll be your new grab-and-gos for lunchtime saunters and Vitamin D replenishment, while current favorites Piper, Topper, and Madison get a little freshening-up in colorways like Petal Tortoise, Crystal, and English Oak.

Here are some of my favorites so far:

The Daydream Collection is available at Warby Parker retail locations (here) and online at WarbyParker.com.  All of the frames start at $95, which is an awesome deal because the price includes prescription lenses.  And if you’re a little iffy about buying sunglasses online, then don’t worry. Warby Parker’s Home Try-On program allows you to pick ouf five of your favorite frames to try-on at home for five days! Crazy right? All you have to do is mail back the frames that you don’t want and simply pay for the frames you want to keep.  How easy is that?  And the shipping is absolutely free for this service.  See, I told you not to worry.

Although I don’t personally own a pair, I jumped at the opportunity to share this collection with you all because I’m a big a fan of their glasses and the company.  Did you know that Warby Parker promises that for every pair of eyeglasses purchased, a pair will be given to someone less fortunate? The “Buy a Pair, Give a Pair” program has already distributed over a million glasses to people in need in over 35 countries. I love supporting companies that is in the business of creating excellent products, as well as making a major impact on the community in the process. If you want to learn more about this program – check out this inspirational video here.

So as I daydream about wearing these cute new sunglasses, spending hours at the beach and long weekend getaways with family and friends, you should check Warby Parker’s new line of sunglasses.  These sunglasses are the perfect way to ease you into the new season and not a moment too soon.  Let me know which ones are your favorites. Wishing you all a beautiful Tuesday!

but the opinions that I shared are my own.

Mood Swing - The Autumn Style Shift

Oh autumn! Ever since I was a youngster growing up in New Jersey, I’ve always looked forward to autumn.  Autumn has always been known for deep rich colors, apple picking or pumpkin picking, cool, crisp air, and of course, pumpkin spice lattes.  Now that I live in Florida, I especially welcome the fall weather for some relief from a long, hot spring and summer season. While the rest of the country is gearing up for cooler temperatures, it continues to remain ridiculously hot down here.

As I continue to wrap up my summer wardrobe, I’m slowly transitioning some fall colors into my wardrobe.  Obviously, one of the quickest ways to transition into the fall season is to run to the stores and buy new clothes.  However, if you are like me living in a warm state or if you don’t have the budget to update your wardrobe right away, then you can start off small with accessories, makeup, or nail polish in prominent fall hues.

Sometimes it can be a little tricky trying to figure out what colors will work best during the transition into the new season.  I’ve teamed up with Julep to show different ways to transition into fall with Julep nail colors.  If you’re not ready to grab new clothes and you want to start off small with nail color, then here is a chart from Julep to give you some color ideas for transitioning from summer to fall colors.  So ladies, it’s time to put away the bright and neon nail polishes from the summer and go for an autumn-inspired color palette.

I’ve picked out a couple of my favorite colors that are inspiring me this season and put together a layout of few accessories and clothing that will allow these colors to shine.  I love the look of Julep’s Brielle (Bombshell) and Anisa (Classic with a Twist) because these colors remind me of the leaves changing to an array of hearty oranges, golds and reds.   And I personally think that these colors look amazing on all skin tones.

Do you have a favorite nail polish color for fall? Check out Julep for more color inspiration and let me know in the comments.
