Moody Mondays: Lilly Pulitzer x Target

To say that I’m excited about the upcoming Lilly Pulitzer x Target Collection is an understatement! Ever since I took a sneak peek of all of the pieces in the collection – I’m beyond ecstatic. Target finally shared the full Lilly Pulitzer x Target lookbook, which means we can start figuring out which items we want before they are released online and in stores on April 19. 2015.  If you’re like me, then you’re going want to start to putting away some extra money now because you’re going to want a little of everything. Even if you’re not a huge Lily Pulitzer fan, I think that you’ll find that this collection has a little something for every girlie girl.

The 250-piece collection includes dresses, jumpsuits, swimwear, handbags, shoes, accessories, cosmetics and home goods. Most of the pieces are covered in Lily’s signature Palm Beach-inspired prints.  Target’s design team went back through the Lilly Pulitzer archives to revive the best of the best prints to create fresh new designs for the spring. The 15 vibrant sherbert colored patterns chosen in this collection definitely keeps the line true to the Lilly Pulitzer label. And my favorite part about this collection is that the retail prices start at $2 and go up to $150, with more than 200 items that cost $30 or less. There's even a full plus-size collection that will only be available online.

So, are you starting to count down the days until the Lilly Pulitzer x Target Collection launches? Do you plan to wait in lines outside of Target stores or will you be shopping online in the comfort of your home? I’ve already created an account on Tartget.com and will most likely do most of my shopping online.  I’ve put together some of my favorites that I’ll be adding to my shopping cart as soon as possible.  I’m scared to see my total when I check out – ouch!  When you have a chance, take a look at the complete lookbook and let me know what’s on your list.

Moody Picks - Florals? For Spring?

Happy Saturday everyone!  I can't talk about spring florals without quoting the legendary Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada: "Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking." I totally agree that florals for spring isn't anything new, but they are a fashion staple every season.  And florals are the epitome of spring. For this week’s Moody Picks, I hand-picked (pardon the pun!) my favorite florals that you'll want to be wear this spring.  And the best part of these floral-printed items is that they are all under $100.00.  So you can be on trend without killing your budget.

In The Mood: Warby Parker’s Newest Collection

Beach vacations, flowers in bloom and lots of sunshine will be here before you know it with the first day of spring quickly approaching.  And the best way to welcome in the rays is with a handful of sunglasses in new silhouettes and colors.

Warby Parker is launching their newest sunglass collection today called The Daydream Collection.  And I’ve picked out a couple styles that I’m loving right now and I think you will too. The new collection includes 2 new frame shapes in 2 different colors each: Jackson (a wider but similar take on the ever-likeable Winston) and Abel (a little angular, a little round, a lot of fun). They’ll be your new grab-and-gos for lunchtime saunters and Vitamin D replenishment, while current favorites Piper, Topper, and Madison get a little freshening-up in colorways like Petal Tortoise, Crystal, and English Oak.

Here are some of my favorites so far:

The Daydream Collection is available at Warby Parker retail locations (here) and online at WarbyParker.com.  All of the frames start at $95, which is an awesome deal because the price includes prescription lenses.  And if you’re a little iffy about buying sunglasses online, then don’t worry. Warby Parker’s Home Try-On program allows you to pick ouf five of your favorite frames to try-on at home for five days! Crazy right? All you have to do is mail back the frames that you don’t want and simply pay for the frames you want to keep.  How easy is that?  And the shipping is absolutely free for this service.  See, I told you not to worry.

Although I don’t personally own a pair, I jumped at the opportunity to share this collection with you all because I’m a big a fan of their glasses and the company.  Did you know that Warby Parker promises that for every pair of eyeglasses purchased, a pair will be given to someone less fortunate? The “Buy a Pair, Give a Pair” program has already distributed over a million glasses to people in need in over 35 countries. I love supporting companies that is in the business of creating excellent products, as well as making a major impact on the community in the process. If you want to learn more about this program – check out this inspirational video here.

So as I daydream about wearing these cute new sunglasses, spending hours at the beach and long weekend getaways with family and friends, you should check Warby Parker’s new line of sunglasses.  These sunglasses are the perfect way to ease you into the new season and not a moment too soon.  Let me know which ones are your favorites. Wishing you all a beautiful Tuesday!

Moody Picks – Bold Stripes

Spring is just around the corner and by now every clothing store has stocked the shelves with bright clothes for the new season. Over the past few years, designers and stores showcased a nautical theme with crisp white and navy hues. Well, this year the designers decided to go a different route and focus less on a nautical theme and more on bold and sometimes bright stripes.  The bold stripes styles vary in color and width, so there is a little something for everyone.  I’m pretty sure this trend will compliment any stripe lover’s wardrobe.  Check out the bold striped pieces that I’m coveting most and let me know what you think in the comments.
