Moody Style: A Statement that Pops

How was your weekend?  Have you ever had one of those weekends that are so jammed packed with events that you need a little vacation from the weekend?  I’m already going into Monday feeling exhausted.  I worked, went to a running expo, ran a half marathon and went to a baby shower this weekend.  Luckily this week, I only have to travel a little bit for work, so I’m very thankful for that.  I’m already looking forward to next Saturday.

I love it when I can find a great statement necklace that pops.  I was a little hesitant about buying this one at first, but when it went on sale, I knew I had to grab it.  And, I’m so glad that I did.  I’m looking forward to wearing this necklace with lots of outfits.  Do any of you have a favorite statement necklace that wear often? Let me know in the comments.

In The Mood: Python

As I mentioned before, I’m a little obsessed with the Coach store.   I’ve been checking out the Madison Large Clutch in Python Embossed Leather since it arrived in the store.  I finally treated myself to this little beauty last week for my birthday.   I can’t wait to use it.  I think this clutch will be the perfect accessory for so many outfits. Have you check out Coach.com lately?  Do you have any favorites from the site? Let me know in the comments.

Moody Style: Très Chic

I feel a little silly adding this OOTD today because the weather here in Florida has been amazing over the past couple of days. We’ve had some record highs and today we were in the 80’s.  So, obviously I wore this outfit when the weather was much cooler.  So, technically this isn’t my outfit from today, so we’ll just call this a throwback from last week. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to post it earlier.  Anyways, I love this sweater and it’s one of my all time favorites.  I was pretty happy to find it at all let alone in my size.  And lucky for you all it’s still available online (here) in case any of you still want to grab one.

I’ve been thinking about attending a blogger conference for the first time. Have any of you attended one before?  Did you enjoy it?  Did you find the conference to be beneficial?  Let me know in the comments.

Have any of you been to a petting zoo birthday party before? I haven’t been to one until this past weekend.  One of my best friends hosted a birthday party for her 3-year old twins on Saturday.  She hired a traveling petting zoo company that came to her home and set up in her backyard. I wasn’t sure if the party was going to happen because it was pouring when I woke up.  Luckily for us it stopped raining for about the two hours the petting zoo was reserved. I had so much fun watching all of the kid’s expressions when they touched or picked up any of the animals.  There was a horse for short rides back and forth in the backyard and there was a pen was full of goats, bunnies, chicken, roosters, a goose and a little pig.  The kids inspired me to get in the pen with them and I even picked up the little pig.  It was kind of cool holding the little guy; since it was the first time I’ve ever touched a pig.  A few days after the party, my friend pointed out that the pig and I both had matching polka dots.  I didn’t even notice that at the time.  Well, here's a quick pic of my outfit and a picture of the pig that I posted on Instagram earlier this week.

Moody Style: Amor, Amour, My Loves

February is my favorite month of the year mainly because it’s my birthday month.  It’s also the birthday month for one of my sisters, two of my best friends and some pretty amazing 3-year old twins.  And of course we can't forget about Valentines Day.  I try not to get too caught up with all of the gifts, flowers and candy that some people think you need to have on the holiday.  Now don’t get me wrong, I’m a sucker for anything pink, red, shiny, sparkly and sweet. And I’ll be happy with any of the suggested Hallmark gifts anytime during the year.  I just like to focus my attention on spending my time with that special someone in my life.  Do you guys love this month as much as I do? What’s your favorite month of the year? Let me know in the comments. Anyways, here's a quick pic of my recent outfit.
