Travel: Discovering San Francisco

I wish I were back in San Francisco right about now, especially in light of my crazy new schedule.  I had a fantastic time in Cali with my sister, C and one of her best friends, but I wish I had more time.  I was able to see a lot of the tourist sites in a short amount of time and enjoy some amazing restaurants/bars.  I can’t wait to go back for another visit – the next time I’m in Cali I’m definitely headed to Napa Valley first.  Anyways, here are some pictures of my time in San Francisco. I also posted some photos during my trip on my Twitter page.  Check them out (here). Have any of you been to San Francisco? If so, what were some of the highlights of your trip? Let me know in the comments.

Checking In

Hi everyone…I hope that you all are doing well, especially those affected by Hurricane Sandy.  I pray that all of you in the Caribbean and the Northeast region are staying safe and dry over the next several days.

Well as I mentioned in my title, I’m just checking in with all of you.  I suck at blogging lately and it’s all because of my “new” job. Believe it or not, I’ve been at my “new” job for about 3 months now and I’m still adjusting.  Everything is new and things change pretty often.  I recently started performing one of my main job functions, which involves traveling about 50% of the time.  I actually don’t mind the travel portion of my job, but I didn’t realize that it would take a toll on me.  I’m hoping that it’s not like this all of the time, but only time will tell.  I’ve been traveling for the past 2½ weeks (my vacation to Cali included) and I’m finally home for a few days.  I hope to catch up on my personal life, laundry and blogging while I’m home.   It might take me a little time to figure everything out, but I’m hopeful that I’ll find a schedule that will work for me very soon.  Fingers crossed!  Please stay tuned and bear with me over the next few weeks.  I’ll be back soon!

Moody Style: Rouge and Stripes

Here’s an outfit that I wore earlier this week, but I didn’t have a chance to post it.  I love the design of this skirt - it's so unique.  Even though this is technically a summer skirt, I think that I can get a lot of wear out of it in the fall.  I think that some knee-high boots and a turtleneck sweater will definitely take this skirt into the next season.  And of course adding a cardigan to this look would be great for layering. Do any of you have additional ideas on how to style this skirt during the fall and maybe winter months? Or should I put this one away until next year? Let me know in comments.

California Here I Come

This morning I’m headed to California to meet up with my sister, C, and one of her best friends from college.  Most of my trip will be in San Francisco, but I’m hopeful that we’ll be able to drive to some nearby cities as well.  I can’t wait to check everything out.  Here are some of the landmarks and must see icons that are on my list:

I also have a handful of ideas for some great restaurants thanks to Diners, Drivers and Dives.  Dottie’s True Blue Café and Pier 23 Café are two restaurants that are on the top of my list.  If you have any suggestions for additional places to visit, please let me know in the comments.  I’d love to hear from you.

I’ve decided not to take my laptop with me during this trip, so it will be a little quiet on my blog.  If you want to hear about the highlights of my trip, then follow me on Twitter (here).
xoxo Natasha
