One of the major trends from this past spring and this summer is the chambray shirt. This light blue cotton fabric is an instant classic that every fashionista should have in their closet. I’m not sure why I haven’t bought a chambray shirt before, but it’s definitely on my list of things to add to my closet. You can find these shirts in various styles, thinner fabric and tailored designs. These days, chambray is not only used for shirts, but it can be found on more structured designs like pants, pleated shorts and dresses. Individual chambray pieces are also very versatile. You can wear a chambray shirt to work with a pair of trousers or throw it over a sundress for a weekend outing. Chambray also works perfectly with metallic fabrics, sequins, bright colors and of course any neutrals.
